interactive news source that revolves around our students.
MEET THE CREW
CASEY PETTY (Layout Designer/Webmaster) – Casey is a junior at PSU Hazleton and is a former co-managing editor, and current Layout Designer and Webmaster. Casey will handle design and editorial content and assist in the management of publishing and distribution. Casey hails from Twin Falls, Idaho and when asked how he ended up at this campus he will quickly tell you it was for two reasons, it was Penn State and he wanted to play basketball. Casey is a member of the basketball team, President of the Christian Hazy Fellowship, and also the Vice President of the Penn State Hazleton Student Government Association. He is a peer leader, and also a lifeguard at the college’s pool. Casey may be reached at [email protected].
AMANDA GIPSON (Co-Managing Editor) – Amanda is also a junior at PSU Hazleton and is co-managing editor. Amanda will handle the administrative part of our publication and make sure assignments are done on time; information is fact-checked and she will be a liaison with SGA. Amanda hails from Drums and is a member of the Student Government Association, a peer leader and is active in many college and community functions. She and Casey will be driving forces to getting The PSU Collegian active on Facebook and other social media venues this semester. Amanda may be reached at [email protected].

KRYSTIN BAKER (Freelance Reporter) – Krystin Baker hails from Dingmans Ferry near Milford, and would like to contribute to the PSU Collegian by interviewing others for stories and taking pictures. She is a junior at PSU HN, head lifeguard at the college's pool, and starting shortstop for the softball team. Also, she is Vice President of the Christian Hazy Fellowship. PAT TROSKY (Lead Advisor) – Pat teaches news writing, speech and business communication at the PSU Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre campuses. After more than 25 years as a journalist, Pat’s love for sharing her practical knowledge and media experience with others led her to pursue a career in higher education. She holds a Master of Arts degree in communication studies and has been the president of the Society of Professional Journalists’ Keystone Pro Chapter for the past two years and member for more than a decade. JON TROSKY (Graphic Design Advisor) – Jon teaches computer and graphic arts courses at the PSU Hazleton and Berks campuses. After earning his MSIT from Bloomsburg University, Jon found teaching the perfect stage to teach classes in a way students would learn and be entertained with his unique style of presentation. Jon is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has acted or did stunts in several movies over the past five years. He is also a member of the Society of Professional Journalists where he keeps up-to-date in the direction of the media in respect to social media and online news delivery developments.
